Today I went and did some shooting (photos) at the Billabong Pro/ASP World Juniors which is being held up the road at North Narrabeen. After the main rounds of the day they had an Expression Session for people wanting to show off their skills.
I ended up getting frustrated that I couldn’t zoom in far enough to get some reasonably decent shots of the people out on the water. Sure, I think my Panasonic DMC-FZ5 camera is great – it’s taken some really good shots, but not having that little extra zoom makes it quite annoying.
I’m looking at moving up in the world of cameras and buying a Canon 400D but it’s $1500 for a single lense kit and having that single lense wouldn’t solve the problem I faced today. I’ve got a lot of saving ahead of me I think.
Photos from todays shoot and from New Years Eve at Sydney harbour are going up on my flickr account (providing my dodgy dialup connection holds out).
